Brush 448 is our primary brush, grass and wildland fire engine. It is our second in fire engine and serves as our primary fire engine in deep snow conditions due to the high clearance and aggressive tires Due to the way that DCFD customized Brush 448, it can be classified as a brush truck or as a water tender, and has the capabilities to act as a pumper for structure fires.

Brush 448 carries 1500 gallons of water with an auxiliary foam capable pump that can produce 300 gallons per minute. Also included is a PortaTank, along with wildland firefighting tools and hoses. There is a quick dump chute in the rear for filling PortaTanks during water shuttling.

Brush 448 seats three firefighters and/or cadets and has seats for one officer and one apparatus operator who acts as the pump operator.
